HiFu - What is it?
What is HIFU? HIFU stands for high intensity focused ultrasound. A new cosmetic treatment at Beyond Beauty for skin tightening. A non-invasive and painless replacement for face lifts. The ultrasound energy encourages the production of collagen, which results in tightening of loose skin and greatly reducing wrinkles and the signs of ageing.
The treatment targets 3 depths of the skin on the face, 1.5mm upper dermis, the 3.00mm lower dermis and the 4.5mm the SMAS layer.
The SMAS is the layer that sits between the muscle and the fat layer. This is the layer that surgeons pull under the knife. HIFU targets this layer without going under the knife, this is why it is referred to as ‘The lunchtime facial’.
There are 2 depths for the body, 9mm skin tightening and 13 mm which destroys the fat cells in the fat layer.
Prices start from £250 per area for the face and £300 per area for the body.
